Enroll in Pony Breeders of Ontario (PBO)’s Pony Participation Program (PPP) today and start earning rewards just for hours you ride or drive! Whether you ride in the showring, on the trail, at the ranch or drive to get away for a few hours each day, simply keep track of the hours you ride or drive and watch the rewards start rolling in.
You don’t have to own the pony you ride or drive, you can still earn rewards for the hours you ride or drive as long as it is with a pony.
The PBO Pony Participation Program rewards riders and drivers of ponies for hours you spend in the saddle or driving a carriage. It’s open to riders and drivers of all disciplines including therapeutic, whether competing, schooling or having fun with a pony. There’s no age restriction….it’s for all pony enthusiasts.
All that is required is a PBO Membership and the payment of a one-time $30 program registration fee. Then, start counting the hours.
It’s simple:
Once enrolled, participants will receive log sheets for tracking hours of activities. Separate log sheets must be used for each pony and a minimum of one log sheet must be submitted annually to maintain enrollment in the program.
Please remember your log sheets can be filed at any time but MUST be filed by December 31 of the current year.

Acceptable Activities for Collecting PPP Hours
Riding: schooling, training, lessons, showing, trail riding (competitive and pleasure)
Driving: long lining, schooling, training, lessons, competing (showring, pleasure driving, combined driving), trail driving (competitive and pleasure)
Basically any activity where you are mounted on or driving a pony counts towards the Pony Participation Program reward hours.

Hours spent riding prior to enrollment is the PBO Pony Participation Program and not eligible to be credited even if they were accumulated in the same year.
PBO Membership must be paid annually to collect Pony Participation Program hours in that year. Hours cannot be credited if earned before the annual membership is paid. Hours will not be lost if a member lapses membership.
It’s simple! When you reach a Pony Participation Program reward hour, PBO will send you the appropriate award. All Reward Hour Achievers will be listed on the PBO Website.
